2. Writing Contest
This is a contest to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy for Grades Five through Eight.  It is sponsored by the Warren County Relations Commission.  Students are to write a response to the following prompt:

If you were a Civil Rights Leader, what THREE changes would you make in the world; why would you make these changes; and what impact will it have on your community?

The essay is due by Jan. 11th.  We will be writing it in class, but I invite you to open up a discussion at home about the topic of civil rights in today's world.

Homework for the week for all grades:
Thursday -- Develop a list of at least 5 things you would change if you were a Civil Rights Leader like Martin Luther King Jr.
